I think it has to do with Le Parfum being a more mature, less sweet scent. The late teens through early 30's guys (and gals) are looking for sweeter frags, and the EDT/EDP are a better fit for that demographic. FWIW I own all three (EDT/EDP/Le Parfum) and I like the EDT (even the pre-2022) the best, followed by Parfum, then EDP last.

YSL Y EDP is good (skip the EDT), but it is not that similar to me, so you could own them both. to the point that if I smell it for too long it becomes nauseating
The sillage of Y EDT isnāt huge, but itās respectable for much of the wear, and then sticks really close to the skin. I definitely wouldnāt call it weak, but it isnāt supposed to be a ābombā cologne. The longevity is good, but not insane, on my skin. I can get 7-ish hours of wear from one application.
