most times it’s the abs module that triggers the immobiliser active message. thus a full deletion of the fault codes on these modules resets the immobiliser. If you need any further help or technical assistance going forward. please let me know and I will do my upmost to assist you. If you are satisfied with my answer /advice thus far
To do this, turn on the ignition, use your centralized button to enter the digits, several quick presses (example: 2 for digit 2) then a stop of one and a half seconds to confirm the digit and resume, repeat the procedure until you have entered the whole code. This should allow your Ford Mondeo to start without having to remove the immobiliser.
I do know, after going though this with JustAnswer, that I can somewhat trust my mechanic but I will always contact you prior to going there. BR New Jersey I would (and have) recommend your site to others I was quite satisfied with the quality of the information received, the professional with whom I interacted, and the quick response time.
I have this exact same issue with my Ford Fiesta MK7 2011. Wont start - PATS code 1-6 - exactly the same as described in the OP's post. 1)My mechanic connected it to his scan machine but there is no comms with the scan machine so its unable to read anything. Mechanic is a trained Ford Master Technician, used to work for Ford.

bought my 2002 F250 7.3 a few months ago and the previous owner had a ford alarm and immobilizer system installed a couple years after he bought it new at the ford dealership. I was screwing around trying to reset one of the fobs that I didn't think was working and now the alarm and immobilizer don't work at all. Not even the flashing red dash

The problem description is as follows: Car won't start and immobiliser lights flashing. Engine won't even turn. I have changed the key fob battery a week before this incident because the car alarm would go off randomly at night. Exactly a week after, the car just suddenly showed engine malfunction sign with the immobiliser light flashing fast.
The Snap-on software has the capability to do that for the Ford PATs keys so let's go through that on the SOLUS Edge. We're all plugged in here so let's just go into the Scanner and it is a Ford, so we'll do a quick auto ID. It comes up as a 2007 Taurus with a three-litre engine. And then we'll go down to the Anti-Theft PAT System.
My son's 2009 KA Mk 2 1.2 petrol.. The red padlock dash light (immobiliser) illuminates frequently. When it lights, car can't start (obviously). If you leave if a while, sometimes 10/20 mins, other times days when you put the key in again, it starts no problem.. VERY FRUSTRATING!
It was as we'd forgotten to retax, but thats all sorted now. Got car back and wouldnt start. Tried leads and bump starting, but nothing. Someone said its the immobiliser as when its towed the car 'thinks' its being stolen and sets immobiliser. Now we have it back we need to reset it with keys. Hope this helps.
